Śābarabhāṣya

The Śābarabhāṣya (a.k.a. Mīmāṃsāsūtrabhāṣya) is the earliest extant commentary on Jaimini's Mīmāṃsāsūtra. It is one of the foundational texts of the indigenous ritual hermeneutics tradition (mīmāṃsā). Its author is Śabarasvāmin. The Śābarabhāṣya has received several commentaries, e.g. the Bṛhatī (by Prabhākara), the Ślokavārttika, the Tantravārttika, and the Ṭupṭīkā (these three by Kumārilabhaṭṭa).
